What this service does
Staff in this service provide spectacles for adults and children to treat certain eye conditions. Our spectacle dispensing service is one of the largest of its type within the UK.
Our dispensing opticians interpret the prescription created during a refraction test and advise on the best spectacle lens type and design to achieve the best possible visual and cosmetic outcome.
They have a wide and varied experience in spectacle dispensing and are therefore able to advise on complex and challenging prescriptions.
The range of frames that we stock is aimed at all age groups, taking into account currents trends and fashions.
Some of the spectacles that we dispense are manufactured on site within our in-house manufacturing facility.
How do I get an appointment with this service?
You have to be a patient at Moorfields to use this service and have a medical reason (apart from short or long sight) for needing glasses. Staff in the service treating your eye condition will refer you to the spectacle dispensing team if necessary.
Opening hours and location
