Moorfields staff make The Ophthalmologist Power List 2019

Moorfields staff have been recognised in a list of the most influential people in the world of ophthalmology.

The Ophthalmologist Power List 2019 honours 50 clinicians, scientists and engineers who have made a significant contribution to their field.

This year saw a record number of nominations – almost 2,000 – across five categories: Champions for Change, Inventors, Emerging Leaders, Mentors, and Surgical Pioneers.

Each nomination celebrates an individual who has made a significant impact on the field, whether that is through a philanthropic initiative or their ongoing commitment to innovation.

Half of this year’s Power Listers have not been featured before, including Moorfields’ nurse consultant Adam Mapani, who is the first nurse to ever feature on the prestigious list.

Congratulations to these Moorfields staff who feature on The Power List 2019:

Alan Bird, honorary consultant ophthalmologist
