Come and join the discussion on the future for Moorfields Eye Hospital

Oriel is our proposal to build a brand new centre for world-class eye care, leading-edge research and professional training. We are proposing that all services from Moorfields Eye Hospital on City Road would relocate to the new centre. The UCL Institute of Ophthalmology would also relocate to the proposed new facility.

Thank you to everyone who got involved in our workshops earlier this year. All of your feedback has informed the proposal and helped us to shape the way in which we are engaging with our patients and carers. We are now holding a further series of discussion groups to listen, learn and get more feedback on this proposal.

We are seeking views on;

  • How would this proposal affect you?
  • How do you think services should improve?
  • What’s your view of the potential challenges?

There will be a public consultation on the proposal later this year, but we want to hear your views before then.

Come and take part in any of our Oriel discussion groups during March and April 2019 in Camden, Dartford, Ealing, Hemel Hempstead, Islington, Milton Keynes, Stratford and Waterloo.

All event details including dates, locations, times and how to book your place can be found on the Oriel website.

You can also book your places by emailing us on moorfields.oriel@nhs.net or phoning us on 020 7521 4684.

Oriel is a joint proposal between Moorfields Eye Hospital, UCL and Moorfields Eye Charity. For more information about the proposal, visit the Oriel website.
