The following information provides a guide for GPs on how to manage or make a referral for failed school vision screening in children.
if the child has:
Unilateral or bilateral reduced vision of no worse than 0.200 LogMAR (6/9.5 Snellen equivalent) in the weaker eye (s)
Refer to local optometrist for GOS sight test
Refer to Hospital or community children’s eye service
If possible, attach photo of eye to e-referral
