Miss Sundas Maqsood is a Consultant Eye Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, specialising in corneal and anterior segment conditions. She treats a wide range of problems including ocular surface disease, keratoconus, and complex cataracts, and has extensive experience in corneal transplantation. Miss Maqsood has a special interest in eye banking and is involved in national advisory work to improve the safety and quality of donated eye tissue. Her research focuses on improving care for patients with corneal infections, nerve-related corneal disease, and complex inflammatory eye conditions, including the use of amniotic membrane grafts. Alongside her clinical work, she is involved in service development and innovation, with an interest in improving patient experience and delivering high-quality, sustainable eye care.
