Our staff networks contribute to the open, honest and inclusive culture we are working towards. They contribute to addressing and solving problems for all under-represented and disadvantaged groups and individuals within our organisation.
Staff networks operate through mutual self-interest and are based on collaboration. Our networks are run independently by staff from across the trust and provide a supportive environment for colleagues to come together, share experiences and discuss common issues and concerns.
Membership is open to all staff, whether or not they have the particular protected characteristics.
BeMoor is a staff network which aims to advance equity, diversity and inclusion for those who are from an ethnic heritage background.
We offer practical and emotional support in a safe and confidential space, as well as advocate for staff retention, career progression and inter-cultural understanding.
MoorPride is a network for LGBTQ+ staff and allies. It provides a regular forum for members to meet and discuss LGBTQ+ issues, as well as giving information and support to staff and assisting with the coordination of social, cultural and educational events. All of this supports MoorPride’s aim to help the trust promote equality for LGBTQ+ people, whether staff or patients.
MoorAbility is a staff network that aims to make disability normal in the workplace.
We advocate for staff with disabilities and long term health conditions (both visible and invisible) so their experience of working at Moorfields is equitable, inclusive and kind.
Our women's network aims to help foster an inclusive work environment that supports women's professional growth through mentorship, advocacy, and community-building.
It is a forum to discuss gender specific issues and consider how best to tackle them in the workplace and will aim to empower women to thrive, benefiting both individuals and our wider organisation.
Members of staff can learn more about our networks, and when their meetings are being held, via eyeQ.
