Mr Rodrigo Anguita is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, specialising in vitreoretinal surgery and ocular oncology. His vitreoretinal practice focuses particularly on retinal detachment and macular surgery, including complex and recurrent cases, and he regularly provides expert second opinions for patients with challenging retinal conditions. As an ocular oncologist, he has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of intraocular tumours, the management of complications following radiotherapy, and the full range of intraocular biopsy techniques. Mr Anguita is also a highly active clinical researcher, leading major international projects in retinal detachment, proliferative vitreoretinopathy and surgical innovation and artificial intelligence. He is regularly invited to lecture at international ophthalmology meetings, where he shares his expertise and leadership in advanced vitreoretinal surgery and ocular oncology.
