The pricing below only applies if you book through Moorfields Private's New Patient Enquiry team. If you book directly with an individual consultant, prices may vary.
The initial consultation fee is £195. The full cost of your onward treatment will be confirmed once you have agreed your personalised plan with your consultant. Please note, this price is not applicable if you have had previous refractive surgery - contact us for a quote.
The package price for the laser eye surgery is £5,490 for both eyes, which includes post-operative eye drops to take home on the day of surgery, follow-up appointments up to three-months, and our 5 year commitment.
There are now many providers offering low-cost laser eye surgery and advertising low starting prices.
Laser eye surgery is a safe and effective procedure. But it is also irreversible and – like all medical procedures - carries some risk. We don’t cut corners. We don’t pressure you into having surgery quickly. We don’t conduct the surgery unless we are sure it’s right for you. And if laser eye surgery isn’t for you, then we’ll discuss other vision correction options with you.
We offer impartial, expert advice from some of the leading ophthalmologists in the world. Our expert teams use the latest technology and take their time to deliver you the best results. Your consultant will see you throughout your journey, including for the initial consultation and tests where you can expect to be with us for two hours.
None of this can be done ‘on the cheap’.
Our pricing is transparent, fair, and fixed. No hidden extras. No upsells. The price you see is the price you pay, regardless of the type of laser eye surgery you have. Your vision is invaluable, and we believe that it is worth investing in Moorfields assured quality.
A package price bundles the common fees associated with a procedure into one price. This often represents a discount compared to paying for all the items individually.
The laser eye surgery package price includes:
The commonly required tests such as visual acuity assessments and corneal scans
Hospital fees
Consultant fees
Take home medication
Follow up appointments up to three months
We charge for the initial consultation separately and also at a fixed rate. This is to allow patients the opportunity to discuss the treatment or procedure with their consultant before committing to the full package price.
Any additional scans, tests or upgrades that are not part of the routine package are not included in the package price. Our package prices are designed to cover what every patient needs who is going through that procedure. However, in some and more complex cases, a consultant may need to request additional diagnostic tests or scans to ensure the best outcome for you.
Patients with underlying eye conditions may not be eligible for the package price. This is because the underlying condition may need to be treated concurrently, requiring additional tests and treatments.
Patients who have had prior refractive surgery require a longer initial consultation and assessment and so the packgae price does not apply to the initial consultation. The package may not apply to treatment depending on the outcome of your consutlation.
The consultant will advise you if there are any additional costs before they are incurred.
Laser eye surgery aftercare usually includes follow up appointments up to three months and take-home medication.
If you wish to see your consultant outside of the covered treatment plan, there maybe additional charges which will be advised by your consultant’s practice manager.
Our laser eye surgery procedures are eligible for 0% finance.
Initial consultations must be paid for in full on the day of the appointment. If you proceed to surgery, we offer 0% finance options through Omni Capital Retail Finance Ltd.
Lines are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm excluding bank holidays for general enquiries or to book an appointment.
