Ophthalmic Specialty Training at Moorfields and the London Deanery with further subspecialty training in vitreo-retinal surgery. Crombie Medal awarded in 2008 by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for achieving the highest mark in Part 1 FRCOphth exam.
Subsequent Fellowships undertaken at Moorfields in Cataract Surgery and in Medical Retina subspecialties.
PhD studentship and Research Fellow at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, culminating in PhD awarded by University College London for my thesis.
Title of thesis: RPGR-associated Retinitis Pigmentosa: A Multi-modal Longitudinal Study Investigating Retinal Structure and Function in Preparation for Gene Therapy Trials. I was awarded the 2019 Moorfields Eye Charity Research Medal for this work.

- Inherited retinal degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, advanced multimodal imaging and visual function, disease progression.
- Persistence of subfoveolar fluid following retinal detachment surgery.
