From today (Monday 13 November, 2017), specialist optometrist glaucoma clinics, urgent care services and glaucoma screening and monitoring services at Moorfields City Road campus will be expanded to a new clinic space in Cayton Street, adjacent to Moorfields City Road.
The Cayton Street clinics will offer patients efficient and modern glaucoma pathways in an improved clinic environment, via a specially designed, dedicated space. The new service aims to reduce waiting times for glaucoma patients at Moorfields Eye Hospital, City Road. In addition, the expanded urgent care services aim to ensure we can provide timely care to those patients who need it most.
Patients who should attend the Cayton Street clinics rather than Moorfields City Road have received the details in their appointment letters. There is directional signage between Moorfields City Road and Cayton Street to help patients.
The Cayton Street clinics will offer the same tests and equipment as at Moorfields City Road.
The clinic is accessible with ramp access for patients who need it, and services such as patient transport and interpreters will continue to be available for patients.
The new clinics are part of a wider plan to improve services and patient experience across all Moorfields sites.
