Research interest / experience
Current areas of interest are new treatments for choroidal neovascularisation (associated with age-related macular degeneration as well as other conditions) and novel treatments diabetic retinopathy.
In am involved in laboratory as well as clinical research into treating a number of rare retinal diseases.
Two year fellowship in medical retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital as well as a period with Prof Gass and the Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, USA.
Spent two and half years at the Jules Stein Eye Hospital, Los Angeles, USA, undertaking clinical training in uveitis as well as completing a higher research degree during this time.
Clinical and research lead at Moorfields Eye Hospital for treatments for age-related macular degeneration.
